Starting in September 2022, I began working at a print shop in Nashville called Canvastry. We were a five member team, three of us being the main printing crew. This portfolio is to show the various types of items and art styles I learned to print during my time there.
I designed this apparel line for Calvary Church Albuquerque in 2020. The heart behind the project was to create a merch line that showcased the church’s vision for the year “Para Mi Familia”. The vision was meant to communicate to everybody everywhere that the church is meant to be a home and the members to be a family - regardless of background. My passion for clothing and shoe design caught the attention of the design team at Calvary and I was given the honor of creating the base designs for this merch line. I was able to work with another designer, Analicia Stroud, to bring everything to life. Together, we turned these designs into shirts, sweatshirts, baseball caps, socks, joggers, shorts, and stickers. We also translated the designs to be usable for banners, floor stickers, merch table signage, and social media posts.
I spent 3 years as the Social Media Coordinator for Calvary Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From 2018 - 2021, I created and curated content for their social accounts, the main focus being their Instagram. My background in photography elevated the feed to how Calvary wished to be portrayed - as an inviting megachurch with a world renowned pastor. From event promotion to weekly quotes to stories of each service, I learned so much about how to work with short turnaround times and impending deadlines. Here are some images that highlight the feed I created, the copywriting I’d use for captions, and the quotes that were used for Twitter.
During my time as the Social Media Coordinator at Calvary Church, I was tasked with running the social media for the women’s ministry, She.ol.o.gie. Managing this account was extremely enjoyable and allowed me a lot of creative freedom that only helped grow my creating and curating skills. Included on this page are screenshots of what some of the Instagram feed looking like during my time managing the account and examples of how the Facebook page was utilized for event promotion.
